Go with Colston. He carries the WR/TE designation, which is useful. Brees seems to look for him, much like Gates.
Antonio Bryant seems to be getting all the play in SF right now. Davis has good upside, but having a less experienced QB will limit his touches until later in the season.

Colston is a WR. I'd make sure you can get him as TE.
I'd go with Davis anyway. He is going to be a constant threat for the Niners especailly when they get behind in games.

Both are good choices, but if Colston is TE eligible in your league (He is in Yahoo) then I say grab him. He might be Brees's new Gates.
