Get a cat. They are like petting living silk. They are smart, independent. If you have to, you can leave for a couple of days and they will be fine, with their food, water and liter box easily assessable. There is nothing better than petting your cat and hearing it purr. It is very peaceful.

It depends on your personality. I am into cats because they are independent. Dogs are to demanding for me. You might get into fish that don't do anything but add to the decor. then there are birds which are load but good friends.

tou need to really analyze what type of person you are and then see what pet would suit you best.goldfish?dog?cat?hamster?iguana?snake?plant?
Getting a pet is a big commitment.
