How many teams like Team Seven (including Team Seven) are there in the Naruto manga? And no, the answer is not 10.

Are you talking about the rookie teams? Team 7, as you know, is Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke. Team 8 is Hinata, Shino and Kiba. Team 10 is Ino, Shikamaru and Chouji. Team 10 is the last team announced for the rookies.
If you are thinking of Rock Lee, Tenten and Neji, they are not part of Naruto's graduating class. They are actually a year ahead of the others, but they take chuunin exam at the same time as the "rookie 9"--Teams 7, 8 and 10. These 12 people are the ones we come best acquainted with.
Of course, there are many other teams out there, but I think focusing on the 12 students plus the jounins and the bad guys is a large enough task. I hope this helps!

well to add on to the last answer....There may be teams for each year. Academy classes don't seem to be that big anyways. If there were more teams I think that naruto and the others would have a much higher number. Once you take a chunin exam...you get assigned to whatever team the Hokage assembels for the job. But who knows...there may be more, there may not be more.
