I am a nurse that takes care of gyne patients. When you have a dropped bladder that is causing leakage, your doctor may want to do a bladder tacking or bladder lift. When they do this, they lift your bladder back into its normal position, and secure it back into place by "tacking" it into the muscle in your lower pelvic region. It works in the majority of cases. Some women have a more severe case and require more extensive surgery. I actually work with 3 other nurses that have had this done, and it worked well for them.
There are medications that may help, but if the bladder is being squished by the other muscles/organs in the low abdomen, then it may not work for you. Only your doctor can decide. Ditropan, Detrol and Detrol XL are common bladder medications that are sometimes prescribed for women such as yourself.
Hope this helped.

Sometimes with pregnancy the bladder does drop, especially if several pregnancies were close toegether and your body didn't get to get back in shape good before the next baby. The dr can put a few stitches in to tack it up and I think it is best to do it now and not wait until you are older. It will only get worse. Best wishes!

Try drinking cranberry juice. Everybody I know says it works as good or better than meds. I've tried it in the past and it seems to work. May depend on the severity of your infection but it can't hurt to try. Get regular cranberry juice, not the kind mixed with mango or some other fruit since that will reduce the concentration.

my mother-in-law had this surgery earlier this year. She had to have a hysterectomy first to get at her bladder. She had 4 kids and is almost 70. Start doing those keegle exercises, they can't hurt!

Yes, it's called a "prolapsed" bladder. Both my mother and my grandmother had it (I'm probably screwed). They both required surgery to fix it. (My grandma put surgery off and it just got worse and worse until she could actually SEE it sticking out a little - gross, i know - so she finally had the surgery) Good luck to you, hon!
