For the simple answer to your question, No. Kobe has aboslutely no one on the team he can rely on to score 20 + a game. Kobe is the best scorer in the game today and he knows how to win. He single handly took the Lakers to the playoffs. Sure Kobe could take 5 fewer shots a game a give it up to his team... but when Kobes hot (which is the majority of the time) get him the ball. Hope that helps.

Bottom line Kobe's going to shoot, but what will make the Lakers a serious playoff threat will depend on them aquiring a descent power foward. Kwame Brown is a dud and has no upside , Smush Parker is a competent guard ( I say guard because Odom & Kobe do most of the ball handling) but a couple of low post threats will open the floor for all the Lakers. Kobe getting a few more assist a game wouldnt hurt either,

Kobe shot enought tmes. He got them to the playoffs last yr. he will this year. This is a guarantee. Its whther or not those guys that want to play as team can work as a team with him and contribute when HE DOES pass the ball. Part of the reason i feel he doesn't pass is beacuse they don't konw wut to do without him. Like soo many times i see Kobe isn't in there and they fall apart. They don't even know wut to do in a possession when kobe touches the ball. Cmon te team needs to improve. Kobe can still teh same amt of shots and do the same this yr. Also think of it this way, last season he missed shots, this time, after every season he gets better and better. So he'll be even better this yr. So watch out. don't worry they are goin got make the plyoffs. His shooting too many shots has a lil to do with of why they lose. Not a big factor as to why they won't make the playoffs. Lets say he's injured then mayb not. but a healthy kobe=postseason for Lakers

Kobe is forced to shoot more because he has no reliable team mate who can score. Until such time that the Lakers get a reliable second scorer, after Kober that is, I am sure Kobe will tame down on his penchant to shoot a lot. But until then, we will see a lot of Kobe hoisting those difficult shots.

Depends how much less. 35.4 ppg isn't that much on tem with no scorers. To tell youthe truth an ideal situation would be like if they Got Ben Wallace, and got a secondary scored who averages about 20ppg. Then Kobe's ideal stat line would be 33.4ppg, 6 rbs,
5.2 assists and over 2 steals. I'm not sure if Odom is a secondary scorer. Someone like Pippen Was. Not sure who that is.

The only way he wont shoot as much is if everyone else steps up. He needs Lamar Odom and Kwame Brown to be consistent and they're in....
