To meet friends you already know is okay. But meeting in Public with someone you chat with online is totally stupid. I mean you don't if that is really a girl or a Guy you are talking to they can just put that in thier profile to trick people.

It can be very dangerous, but at the same time, I've met many people years ago online that I'm still friends with to this day. Bottom line, though- You can never be too careful.

Because virtually everyone is on myspace these days, and it is a great place to find people in your area. It is also easier than going out and trying to meet people. I have met several people off myspace with no ill effects. There is nothing wrong with meeting people off the internet as long as you practice caution.

I believe, it is because somehow it is exciting to communicate things to others you can't see. You can be anyone or anything you want. When you meet someone in person, well, that's different isn't it? You have to be the real you and not the person you pretend to be on the internet. For adults it can be dangerous. So why wouldn't it be for teenagers?
