They keep exposing the ways we want to defeat terrorists and then we have to give up. I support freedom of the press, but can American lives be saved if they chose not to report how we're winning the war on terrorism?

I like to think sometimes the NYT holds the powers that be accountable. If you have to illegally torture and detain innocent people along with suspected terrorists, maybe this needs to be exposed for public debate.

How are they getting the info? Did one ever wonder that?

I would think the government would keep something like this under wraps. But the New York Times got the info. Hmmmm. . . Has to make one wonder.

It's not just the New York times.. all the media showcases America's weakpoints, hoping for, I'm assuming, terrorists to watch (or read) and come up with a plan to exploit the weakness which was showcased.

why don't you actually take the war on terror TO THE TERRORISTS insead of sitting in IRAQ WAITING ON THEM TO ATTACK YOU...

this is the most pathetic war I've ever seen and then you start spying on Americans and hide behind the war on terror...

go fight, stop sitting on your butt trying to spy on everyone...

You don't care what path this "war on terror" takes you don't care what the government does to its own citizens, what laws it breaks...why don't you and your kind just go hide in the mountains..I, ll let you know when the "war on terror" is over.
