You buy an external DVD-RW drive and pray you have a vacnt USB/FireWire port on your laptop.

u should hv a writer if u wanna burn data on to ur cd...a plain dvd rom drive cant b used....if u hv a writer then download software like nero..n then write...

your laptop either is writer capable or it isn't.
If it is writer capable, there are plenty of software programs that can burn to disc. Nero, musicmatch, sonic among others.

ROM = Read only memory, so it won't WRITE (burn) to your cd ROM
