Is there a way to train my rabbit to stop digging? Should I have her nails surgically removed?

First of all, if you are letting your rabbit outside (i assume it is not living outside) you should supervise. Rabbits need to be aware not just of dogs and other land predators, but also hawks and other birds, so you should monitor and play with your rabbit outside. Don't discourage from digging, just move the rabbit from the edge of the fence where they dig to the middle of the pen each time. Hopefully they get the message.

The rabbits that are domesticated in America came from Europe. The wilds one over there live in burrows in the ground. They live underground to escape predators.

Rabbits can't sing or watch TV like us, they dig holes. This is just normal behavior. What you can do is lay down a netting or chicken wire so your pet can't dig out.
You can also make a wire cage with a bottom that you can move every day. Chicken wire is cheap, but it isn't dog proof. When your rabbit is outside, make sure that you check on it every hour or so.
To better understand the behavior of digging, read the book, WATERSHIP DOWN.

There is no way to stop a rabbit digging under a fence. I have made my bunnies an area outside, specifically for them, with big steel walls. They are the type, like a wire fene, but made of steel, and the squares are a lot stronger, so the bunnies can see everything but cannot get out. Anyway, i have dug a bit underground, maybe 10cm, and have laid the bottom with chicken wire, and covered it with dirt. This works, because the bunnies have their own area, can dig, but can't get out.

No don't have her nails removed. Besides most vets won't do that for a rabbit. You need to bring your rabbit indoors. before you know if she will be gone.

your rabbit will probably just stop on her own that's what happened with my rabbit or cover the places where she normally digs with wood.

How about not letting her loose in the yard. Try a crate. I am opposed to any animal being de-clawed. It is one of their defense mechanisms if they ever need a fast escape. Keep her nails trimmed.

If you can afford it, buy a brick wall. I have a rabbit in my backyard, and i have a brick wall. There's no other way. If you can't afford it, too bad.

Well you have to go and bury her stuff in the hole and she will not do that again. Animals will not dig up there own poop. Stops them fast. Start collecting lots to bury.

ELECTRIC FENCE!!! PZZZT!

Seriously, I would just buy it a chain-leash and let it dig all it wants. It won't be going anywhere with it. MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
