Think about your married friends or yourself and tell me if you can think of some things they have in common!

The two we notice most are *thin-lipped* people marrying each other and *unique nosed* people marrying each other.

(Sometimes you have to look for it, but it's there almost every time, even SOMETIMES with our ethnically diverse friends!)

Yes I noticed that too My dad said if every one could see us as we see ourselves in the mirror we would all be beautiful. So I think that we are attracted to the features we see most there fore we seek them out,We feel more comfortable around some one with similar features as ourselves because they are familiar to us.

Yeah, I've noticed this. Just the other day I was telling my husband how larger bodied people seem to couple and skinny bodied people seem to couple. Me and my husband are different skin wise (he's white and I"m black) but we are both slim, he keeps his head shaved and I wear a really tight hair cut. That's about the only similarity between us.

I know a couple who so resemble one another, they could be siblings. I also know a pair like Mutt n' Jeff.

The only thing similar between me and my other half is small blue eyes, though his are cerulean, and mine are vaguely out of spectrum.

Nice observation, but I think people look more like their pets than their spouses!

My first husband and I looked a lot alike, almost like brother and sister, and that marriage didn't work. My second husband and I don't look at all alike, but yet our relationship is stronger. So i don't think your theory works!

your theory is true, but it's not only about look but about acting too.
We act the same way with my husband, the same look, the same smile, the same words.
May be therefore people marry each other.

Yeah, I know what u mean. But it's usually the couples who have been together for yrs or decades that start resembling each other. Not all, but some.

Over the years, I've noticed not only this, but they grow to look more alike as time advances.

It's simply that people go for the most beautiful mate they can get so they tend to look similarly beautiful and match at roughly equal points on the beauty to ugly continuum.
