Thousands! I think my son has them all becouse I keep hiding them when I find them on the ground and all over the house and he still has thousands. Those things are neverending.

In the US there are 21 sets, the first 11 were 2 sets combined into 1. There's Dark Beginnings and Dark Revelations vol. 1 & 2 but those are all reprints, except Makyura The Destructor. There are about 2000 cards from actual sets. Then there are promotional cards to consider. In Japan promos are distributed in the Yu-Gi-Oh manga and video game guides in addition to video games and special events. Also, each tournament season there are tournament packs filled with mostly vanilla monsters and maybe 1 or 2 things people can actually use. They're so right. Too many cards to count, and some cards are reprinted for new players! Go to www.netrep.net and see for yourself how many cards are there. You're gonna have to count how many for this though. Good luck!

not to be rude but why do u care because when i played it and you think you have all of them and you suddenly see a new card there is no way to caculate how many cards there are because they thrive off of fancitcs who want to collect them all then so they hire people to create catchy new one so every day there is around 3 new ones counting them is impposible and innaccurate

Over 2000 cards....there have been over 25 booster packs in Yu-Gi-Oh.

maybe 1200-1300. some of the the cards dont appear in the games, so i think it in that range
