It isn't normal, but not necessarily abnormal either.
Some women will leak small amounts of urine that will look clear and have no odor. Also, vaginal discharge is quite common at this stage of pregnancy.
If you can't get your midwife on the phone soon, Do not be embarrassed to make a trip to Labor and Delivery. They will check the fluid to see if it is amniotic fluid. If it isn't, they will send you back home. They see it all the time, and it is so much better to be safe than sorry. Especially this early.
Good Luck!

You need to get to a DOCTOR NOW!!! I am sorry, but your pregnancy just got too complicated for your midwife. Does your midwife work with a doctor or a practice that she refers her high risk patients to?
You should go to an ER and they will confirm that this fluid is amniotic fluid. It's good that the fluid is clear. You probably have a small tear or leak in your amniotic fluid sack. You are at risk for infection and your water will probably break in the next few weeks. This happened to me. Don't' worry, it will be fine. My early rupture of membranes turned out good -- the doctors were able to keep the baby from getting an infection and kept me from delivering until 32 weeks. My son was fine and he is a healthy 10 year old now!!!
Good luck and get to a hospital now.

Go to the hospital now!
If you're leaking amniotic fluid they can possibly stop it if it is a really slow leak. They'll try to keep the baby in until at least 28 weeks when it has a better chance of living outside the womb.

You tend to have discharge alot around 23 weeks. Is crazy but women have actually gone to Labor and Delivery because they that their water broke. You can discharge to the point that it dripping.
But when ur water breaks you'll know. It pours out of you unless it slowly comes out but is something that you can not control. Well you'll know.
On ur next appt tell the doctor, because they might want to check the fluid around the baby to make sure he or she has enough.
Dont worry urself

please dont wait to get ahold of a midwife. You are barely 6 months pregnant. If I was you I would run- NOT WALK to the emergency room. I am 8 weeks pregnant and I wouldnt take a risk. I hope your midwife calls you asap if you are waiting to reach her.

WOW maybe you should go to the ER because that is BAD. On the other side it could be discharge, you tend to get more as pregnancy goes on. I would say to go to the ER anyways, they will just do something called a strip test and then you will know for sure if you are. Goodluck and CONGRATS

well, of course contact your dr. but it could be urine. that is really common in pregnancy. you don't feel it but it comes out. the muscles loosen while your pregnant while your body prepares for baby and labor.
if you soak through a pad it could be your water, but if it's just a little bit here and there, like I said it could be urine, or just normal discharge.

sometimes it is urine or discharge but if it is gushing and uncontrolable it could be your fluids. just call l&d and get it checked out. it could be a false alarm.
