Since you did not say how he ruined your credit-
Did he open accounts in your name without your knowledge?
Did he make charges on your accounts without your knowledge?
Did he open accounts in both of your names without your knowledge?
If any of those are what happened, file an ID theft report on him with the police, send a copy of the police report to the credit bureaus and dispute the accounts.
