Depends, if it were by fire I could try to suffocate first, but other than that, freezing would be less painful. And you would feel suddenly warm in the last moments of life.
So I would rather freeze.

If you burn to death it's painful until your nerves are destroyed...then again freezing to death might be like going to sleep....i would have to go with freezing.
