My daughter recieved a letter by mail from the"People to People Foundation",telling her that she was picked either because of her high academic standings, election by a teacher or election of a former Student Ambassador to attend a trip to Europe in the summer. So, we were all happy and dandy not quite sure if we could pay but we figured we would.I wanted to look into it though.I called her teachers from the past few years and none of them had submitted her.I asked her if she knew anyone that was a former ambassadorand she said no.I narrowed it down to that she had high academic standings. That wasn't a surprise, seeing as how she has always done well in school.I gave it a few more days before I made up my mind and that was just enuftime. of ours said that their son,a friend on my son and not to be rude but he wasnt to terribly bright. So I went on the website.there was a form you could fill out To suggest someone and I recommended My dog and sure enough, and sure nuff a leter came 4 Him.

Srry if you cant read parts of it, but the main thing is a letter came for my daughter sayin she was reccommended by a teacher, ambassador, or for her high academic standings, to go to Europe. We waited to tell her if she could go because we werent sure. Sure enough that was all the time we needed. A letter came for the boi next door saying the exact same thing but the only difference is, not to be mean, Royce isn't exactly bright, however my daughter is a 4.0, I'm not bragging for her, that's just what has always been. So I went on the website and there was a place where you can recommend someone and it says next to the box "the person you are recommending wont be picked unless they quallify (eg. High GPA)" So I decided to be smart and I put in the family dog's name. Sure enough ANOTHER letter came for a Certain Huey Deroyz. How can I get this story to the locals?

why is it a scam? Are they asking for money?

first of all , contact the Postal Inspector . They will find these people and get to the bottom of that . Then contact your local television station , and ask if they are familiar with or interested in the story . Same with the local papers , contact the editor , be brief , and have your facts and substantiation together .

Best regards !

Look up the local TV news stations on line. They take great pride in exposing scams.

First you need to go to the police, make them aware of the website, then take this info to your local newspaper and talk to them. The public needs to be alerted of that scam until someone can shut their website down.

Wow...

...hmm, perhaps the editor of the newspaper? If that's the wrong person, at least he/she would be able to direct you to the right one.
