They are snet to the hosp morgue, which is really creepy to see them on the shelf. If the person dies it is sent with their body to funeral home.
If the patients consent they are sometimes used for teaching purposes.
Or, they are cremated, and disposed of as bio hazard waste.

When my finger was once amputated, the surgeon stated they have been going to run some tests to find out why the MRSA bacteria I had shrunk after I used to be getting my carpal tunnel corrected, acted the way in which it did. That used to be all by and large baloney. I determine it was once taken out with the trash. The bacteria had killed the pinkie finger on my left hand and it gave the impression of a burned marshmallow over-cooked over a campfire. Yuck!

They are sent to a surgical pathology laboratory for analysis.
I remember seeing a whole leg, from the hip down, in the fridge at a lab i used to work at. EVERYTHING they take out of or off of a patient ends up at the lab first, we even had umbrellas (don't ask, you really don't wanna know where it was removed from)

usually legs are amputated because of poor circulation or gangrene. they take it to the pathology department and extract the deep veins. they examine them make their reports and the rest of the "bio-hazardous" remains are taken away by the hazardous materials guys.
(i used to work in a morgue and i currently work in a lab)

for medical purposes, they may do experiments on them or dissect them but in the end they get put in a red bag and taken to a place that burns them I think

It's put in a special facility and burned, incinerated if you will.
If you have a mole removed, after a biopsy it's put there as well.

I think they're incinerated. I've also heard of people cremating them and putting the ashes in urns.

A question and some answers...
Some get incinerated.
Some get sent to science labs for student testing.
Some get sent to the landfill site.
Some get taken home by staff for practical jokes.
Some get taken home and fed to animals.
Some get lost.
Some...
