She could be taking out her anger on you just because she feels like she can. It sounds like she's acting like a bully. If you feel like her attacks are really biased, then you should have a talk with her. Tell her how you take care of everyone on time and do what you feel is needed of you. If she feels like it's not enough, ask her to explain what exactly her expectations are.

I think your RN's job is to keep you on task and on your toes. Just a subtle reminder who's boss. She has probably been there for years, and has seen girls like you come and go like there's a revolving door, so she may not want to get to close to you because the likelyhood that you'll leave is good. Keep up the good work, though. Try really hard not to let her hard nosed attitude bring you down. People that live in nursing homes need your beautiful smiling face, and cheerful disposition. There is a pretty high stress level working in a place like that, and it has a tendance to wear on people. God bless you for your choice of work, and keep plugging away!!

Unfortunately if your nurse is the same gender it's probably a jealousy thing. People do not know how to appreciate and tend to feel threatened easily by others who do a good job. My theory is that unless someone has the ability to jeopardize your position, let their insecurities go in one ear and out the other (especially if they don't apply). If they can jeopardize your position you might have to go over their head and talk with a manager.

Maybe because she's just jealous. You should ignore that nurse and just do your job as you always do or do things even better if you're already doing good. If she persist on pestering you then maybe you should take the matter to the higher authority.

nothing. the nurse is probably jealous of you because the residents are being well taken care of by you and the nurse is upset because the patients are probably telling them that you are doing a good job and the nurse probably thinks that means that they are not.

she might think because she is a nurse she can use it to her advantage to make you feel less but when you get tired of her shitt and change jobs she will then realize she lost a good worker that was willing to do her job. i would go above her and tell them you feel she is misusing her rank to try an intimidate you ask to be moved to a new station.

I'm very experienced at this, the nurse is jealous. Because somebody must have said something good about you to her. Now her pride is hurt so she's determined to undermine you. So watch your back because a knife is heading that direction.

Try to talk to her and ask her what problems she may have with your performance.

If not satisfied, go to a higher supervisor.

She may be pushing you either because she is a bully and your a easy target, or she likes you and wants to see how much pressure you can take for possible promotion.

Regardless, just keep doing your best.

You probably make her look bad by actually doing your job and caring for the people. Everything in her life is probably difficult because of her attitude and I'm sorry she takes it out on you as well.

The problem isn't you. Hang in there and good luck!

Maybe she has something personal against you. It sounds as if you are doing a great job. Maybe you should just come right out and ask her why she is treating you the way she is, maybe she doesn't realize she is doing it.
