It boosts our egos and makes us think we're pretty. We like feeling pretty. We're also attention whores, so it helps out there, too. Don't you like it when girls think you're hot? (or guys, if that's your thing.)

it might make some happy and some not...depends on the girl and where she is at......
i have seen some 30 somethings guy's flirt a Little to a older woman and it makes the older lady smile and feel better about herself....[ she knows it is not serious but still makes her day] how do i know this....you ask...it happens to me sometimes and it does makes me smile and makes my day.... it brings the memories of way back when i got flirted with for real [when i was young and cute] and i balance that and don't take it serious just a little fun for this old lady................

Just about anyone likes it when you pay attention to them and make them feel like you really noticed them. Most of the time you don't even have to flirt; just make an honest effort to be nice. Make a small joke or something to make them smile and they will remember it.

i agree it flaters me when a guy says a sweet thing to me and it makes my day even when my crush just says hi it makes me happy
