Was recently in a model home and considered who keeps them clean. Thought it would be a good business idea, however whenever I ask the realtors on site who do I contact for potential contracting opportunites no one knows who to talk to... Any ideas...

I actually bought a model home a couple months ago. It was one of the last homes to sell and they sold it for cheap since people had been walking in it and using it for an office for the better part of 2 years.

My home building company, Standard Pacific Homes, contracted out professionals to do a lot of the home cleaning. A local landscaping company was used for yard maintanance, a carpet cleaning service came and did the rugs every year and their own contracted service people came out and did minor touch ups on the home.

For most of these services you can contract out professionals of your own or you can rent equipment that will help you maintain a home of your own. But keep in mind, if you hire a local merchant its usually a hundred dollars more than if you did it yourself...but if you screw up trying to fix stuff on your own...your footing the bill. Not them.
