Yes, I saw it, just as Dorothy and Tin Man turn around and start walking down the yellow brick road after a song (can't remember which song). The hanging was left in, supposedly, because it would cost too much money to reshoot that scene. Not an intended message, so it is not subliminal. Just bad judgement.

There is no one hanging themselves in the wizard of oz, it was an urban legend...there is an ostrich walking around and some people mistook that as a man hanging. I don't know anything about subliminal messages in The Wizard of Oz...

Is that one of those hidden scenes like the one/s with the extra tornadoes? I have not noticed that scene.
Actually now that I read one of the other answers I think I remember seeing that. Not sure but I think I remember. If it is there, I dont think it would be intended to be subliminal; because no one would be so short-sighted as to think they could get away with subliminal messaging; they would know they would be found out eventually. I think it being there, if it is, is so you can find it, and wonder why it's there.

YES! It's right at the part where Dorothy finds the Tim Man and they finish their song on the yellow brick road - It's in the far distance off to the back left - I Knoe FOR SURE!!!!!!!!
