response to absolutemart...I don't live in Connecticut "yet". I am however basing my decision on if there is Hockey nearby..such as New York Islanders/Rangers being closer to the southwestern part of Connecticut. Game On dude! We used to have the Louisiana Ice Gators (ECHL) but they ended the francise 2 seasons ago...boo hoo...I miss my "live" hockey games...

Well you have AHL teams in Hartford and Bridgeport..... plus several college teams (Yale, Sacred Heart, UConn, Quinnipiac)
Depending on where in CT you are, you can always drive to New York, New Jersey or Boston for some NHL action too.

If you enjoyed the Louisiana Ice Gators (ECHL) you are going to LOVE the Hartford Wolfpack (AHL) or the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (AHL)!
You're definitely headed to an area with hockey ALL---OVER---THE --- PLACE!! :o)
p.s. I have an IceGators t-shirt that I wear all the time... Sad that they folded :o( ... The Mississippi Seawolves of the ECHL will be back next season ~~ and the ECHL team in Beaumont Texas (Wildcatters) that were also affected by the hurricane will be playing next month.
Enjoy all that hockey you'll have in the northeast.. it's a hockey hot-bead for sure !!! Lucky you!!! ;o)
