I need a cell phone to use for just 2-3 months and don't want to spend a fortune for all the extras. What is a good phone I can purchase and buy a card that doesn't have any term?

Someone suggested Virgin which is about $29.99 and I can purchase a card for time needed. What do you think?

I used a t-mobile prepaid plan for a while, and I ended up getting a contract plan afterwards. They have been a lot better and more transparent about charges than any other ones I tried (such as Cingular, for example). I think their prepaid is good because it allows you to carry over the minutes you don't use. I got their "gold" prepaid plan (paid a 100 bucks in advance) which lasted me for a very long while and has a 1 year without expiration...

That is just fine. T Mobil also has some decent prepaid plans. Verizon is out, they charge 99 cents a day whether you use it or not.

Get the Cingular Pebble for the same price. $15 will last you up to three months if you don't use it often.
