she is still a baby....her body will develop as it needs to...just be sure that she is active and eats...but don't force her to eat. as long as she eats till she is full and is not secretly starving herself she is perfectly healthy...don't worry she will put on weight and her body will evolve...eventually

your little sis probably grew several inches in the last few years, so this is a natural time of life to "appear" thin. 5'8" and 120 lbs. seems to be appropriate for her age, and as long as she's eating and feeling well, all should be good. i am 5'8" as well and as a teenager, i was even thinner than that, but ate like a horse and felt well, and today in my middle age i'm not much heavier....and feel fine. we put too much emphasis on "pounds" as opposed to good health, and as long as there's not an eating disorder involved, being thin is not a bad thing. much preferable to overweight or obesity, for sure!

She's thin but, being thin doesn't mean anything is wrong especially at 13 years old. If she is eating enough and doesn't feel as if she is fat, then my guess is that she is healthy but, I'm not a doctor and even if I was I couldn't tell you anything over the net. If you are very concerned, talk to your parents about taking her to the doctor for a check up.

A girl at 5'0 is 100 lbs and then add 5lbs for each additional inch.
So, a girl at 5'8 should weigh 140lbs. There are many factors that need to considered for each individual person, though. Age, rate of metabolism, diet, and regular activity. If you have concerns, you should discuss this with an adult or health care professional who knows or who has examined your sister.

Her still growing will affect stuff like that, but that is a little underweight. She could probably gain ten or twenty pounds, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. She should still be okay.
