x = measure of angle 1
y = measure of angle 2

x+ y = 180
x = 4y - 5

substitute (4y - 5) for x in the first equation
4y - 5 + y = 180
Now, combine terms:
5y - 5 = 180
now add 5 to both sides
5y = 180
now divide both sides by 5
y = 36
now substitute 36 for 1 in the first equation
x + 36 = 180
now subtract 36 from both sides
x = 144
so the first angle has 144 degrees and the second angle has 36 degrees

A = 4B - 5

A + B = 180
(4B - 5) + B = 180
4B - 5 + B = 180
5B - 5 = 180
5B = 185
B = 37

A = 4(37) - 5 = 148 - 5 = 143

ANS : 37° and 143°
