I just started my 5th month with my first pregnancy, and have to finally settle for maternity clothes. I had terrible morning sickness until now. I gained 3 lbs for the first 4 months and I was like okay I'm in control. We'll 2 weeks later I went into the doctors office and hopped on the scale and I gained 6lbs in 2 weeks. I freaked. The doc said it was normal. At this stage in our pregnancy the baby is taking a growth spurt. This is a really important time for the baby. Not all of it is the baby. That belly is containing a lot of fluid and I bet your boobs are a lot bigger so u can add that into the weight factor. Trust me u wont gain 15 lbs every time, and your doc will tell you when and if you need to slow down a little. Don't be concerned It is not harming the baby. It is warm and snuggled right in there. I am not trying to diet at all. I try to eat healthy but I have those cravings and want a big hunk of chocolate cake. remember you are eating for 2 now. Good luck and enjoy being pregnant.

The size of your baby belly depends on where the pregnancy sits in your anatomic structure. Some people carry babies in a way that the belly does not look as large because a large portion of the pregnancy resides a littler further back, and lower than others. Be happy! You are gonna have a beautiful baby in 5 short months! Congratulations Mommy!

not only is every woman different, but every pregnancy is different as well. My first pregnancy I gained 45 pounds!!!!
But, with my second and third pregnancy I actually lost weight. Crazy but true. I wouldn't worry about your weight. Enjoy being pregnant now, cause in about 5 months you will be ready to get it over with. You have enough things to be worrying about right now (baby's health, baby clothes, etc.) and your weight should not be one of them.

Everyone is different. Some people don't gain any weight until the last trimester, others constantly gain throughout.
Everyone carries differently too. I wouldn't worry about it too much, if I were you. Just sit back and enjoy the ride!
Congratulations and Good Luck!!

Gaining that much weight right away is not good. You want to be healthy for yourself as well as the baby. Try to eat more healthy and get alot of exercise. You will thank yourself when it's time to give birth. :)

My friend is also 4 months pregnant and her pants are starting to get tight- don't worry about it - i'm sure it's normal- but you should probably talk to a doctor if you're reall worried

Ask your OBGYN about that. Make an appointment or just give a clinic a quick call and ask them your question. They should be able to help alot better.
