The perfect score is now 2400. There are three sections, each worth 800 points. And of course, perfect scores alone will NOT get you into Harvard.

The vast majority of applicants to Harvard have perfect (or close to perfect) scores, so many students with perfect scores are NOT admitted.

Harvard selects its students with attention to other criteria. Most especially, Harvard seeks students who are unique in some way. Perhaps a student spent a year in Ghana, volunteering for an NGO. Perhaps a student started a funding drive to build an art museum in their home town, and secured 1 million dollars in pledges. Perhaps a student's family just moved to the US from Cambodia, and that student learned English in 2 years and published a children's book about a Cambodian immigrant family. See what I mean?

1600. (unless they changed that with the recent changes) Maybe lower if your last name is Kennedy or Bush if you catch my drift.

But seriously you have to have more than a perfect score on the SAT to get into Harvard there will will plenty of people with perfect scores applying. You should look deeper into what is required to get into Harvard. Like activities, travel, AP Courses, Leadership, Community Service etc. How you stand out among the top high school students from all around the world. Good Luck.

2400 now. I got 2 perfect scores in math and reading, but my writing score was only 720, for a total of 2320. I only read this SAT guide, and that is how I got such high scores:

I recommend this guide to anyone seeking to get a higher score to get into a first choice college.
