Get a coffee mug (or glass of equal size) and fill 3/4 of the way full (maybe a lil less) with regular tap water, preferably at room temperature. Then get about a tablespoon of baking soda, drop it in and stir. Now, drink it up in 1 big gulp. Its going to taste pretty nasty, but so do tums if you ask me, and then you'll burp really loud, aaahhhhhhh......relief. Trust me, it works, I had THE WORST heartburn while I was pregnant and it was the ONLY thing that worked. I just brushed my teeth after to get rid of the taste....Hope I helped!!

Chronic heartburn is usually from acid reflux - stomach acid is getting past the little valve and into your esophagus. You also should know some natural ways to treat your heartburn. Learn them here https://bitly.im/aM9cP
The most immediate thing you can do is to stop drinking coffee and cola. Smoking is not good either, but that might be harder to stop. Don't over-eat. Don't lie down too soon after eating. Don't burp too much - this carries acid up with the burp.
heartburn the most common symptom of acid reflux disease (also known as gastroespohageal reflux disease, or GERD). Heartburn feels like a burning pain in the center of the chest. It is caused by acid from the stomach backing up into the esophagus. is a symptom of acid reflux disease (GERD) Also known as Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease

A VERY COLD can of Dr. Pepper drank down VERY FAST is what works for me. I say "CAN", instead of bottle, because canned pop (or soda) seems to have more of the bubbly stuff in it than those plastic bottles do. Anyway, the canned pop just seems to work better for me. I've used Dr. Pepper for heartburn cure for many years, & it works every time. Oh, yeah, be ready to do a lot of burping! But, if you get real good at it, you might burp your way all the way to the bank! lol
Anyway, it can't hurt to try Dr. Pepper. Who knows it might work for you, too! Good luck!!!

Monavie juice has helped many people with GERDs. I also like to recommend Rolaids tablets. Deglycerinated LIcorice (DGL) tablets are good. So are Enzymatic Therapy's Iberogast and Gastrosoothe.
