Hey! Don't listen to anybody!!! Be what you want to be!!! There are loads of pretty goth girls or punk girls.... even simple girls that won't go out with you because you are goth!!!
Don't pretend to be somebody else! Be goth if you like it! It's a thing that you will be proud of when you'll grow up and have a family and all that ****.
I am a goth-metall-punk girl and I must tell you that the most important thing you must know is to do what your heart tells you.
In my high school, the darker kids are accepted and we have loads of friends! And the best part is that you can kick someone's *** without giving a damn about it!

Goth isn't something you decide to be it's a way of life and you just become. It is a whole other world once you really get into it and it can lead you to some dark places. But if being Goth is what makes you comfortable in this life then just find out what you're getting into before you make your decision. Don't be fake just be you.

Why don't you wait 6 months?That has been my rule of thumb.Every time my kids asked me for pierced ears or tattoos ,I told them wait 6 months.Every time they forgot about it.Ear piercing did come later,no tattoos yet.
Also, do research on Goth.It is a whole different lifestyle.You will only accepted into that group of people.My perception of all the kids that went goth in school were that they were trying to belong to something outside of school.Get involved with theater ,sports,or music.School goes by way too quick and you'll miss out on all the fun. Adolescence is hard and fun at the same time. Been there.So have fun with the "goth" clothing if you want.Just get one black outfit.You don't have to become anything or seclude yourself to any one group.Enoy your freedom and Good LUck !!

I think if its what makes you happy go for it. But don't just turn goth all of a sudden. Start little by little. Maybe get a black jacket. then some black pants then a chain, then maybe die your hair black if you want to. But don't just all of a sudden turn b/c that would be a really sudden change and if you decide you don't like it then it would be harder to go back to your old clothes b/c ppl would think that your like totally messed up cause you jumping back and forth. So good luck.

Goth isn't a fashion style! Goth is a way of life. Goth isn't black clothes and black hair. Do a little research on goth to see if you really want to do it.

...tell you what. Try visiting net.goth and read the 'what is goth' explanation. You're still going to have to wait four to five years before anyone takes you seriously as a goth anyhow, so no use rushing yourself into things.

It is your choice also look at the things you like and how you act as a goth. Also judge yourself so you'll be ready for what other people say.

if u turn goth don't turn emo but really don't turn anything just saty the way you are and it is ok if u wear the jeans once in a while and i love black hair it is no big deal

its up to you but remember people will judge you for the way you look not fair I know. I don't see anything wrong with people trying out a new look. Good for you go with what you like if you think you can handle the looks and the talks about the way you look.
