I reject the notion of a hero. A heroic act is nothing more than a normal person placed into extraordinary circumstances. I believe most people would perform what we consider heroic acts.
To accept the idea of a hero pays homage to the idea that humans are weak and generally poor of character--that only a few people rise would above the mediocrity of their fellow humans. I cannot accept this idea. Too depressing to think otherwise.

A hero is someone that is a positive influence, and has a positive outlook on life, someone you can just look up too, and someone who inspires you to be a better person.

I am guessing you mean, ..hero..in Oz it is spelt..heroe...
A heroe is someone who we would admire and look to for inspiration, someone to be proud of..whether your servicemen standing up for your country or the person helping the old lady accross the street..Heroes to me are people who set a good example of how to be a good human being...

A hero to me is someone that touches your life so dramatically, your outlook and whole life is changed. They give you inspiration and make you dream big, and believe that those dreams will come true.

hero to me is when you have someone that never does wrong in your eyes, they are the best at everything and put you before others, always there when you need them or close to a phone.
