He's amazing in anything he does, so yeah, the Joker would be great for him.
I first saw him Full Metal Jacket, and he was, again, very effective.

I think Heath Ledger will do just fine. After seeing him in Brokeback Mountain, I think he can do anything. Vincent D'Onofrio would also have been a good choice though. Johnny Depp might have made an interesting Joker. Think of how weird he was in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, only as the Joker he could be as scary as he wanted to. Ray Liotta also has that crazed, maniacal quality that you would look for in the Joker.

I think Heath will do a good job playing The Joker. But, if I had my pick I would say Adrien Brody. He is one of the few actors that really commits to his roles. Plus he has done the crazy person thing in The Village and he was great. And even more he kind of has the look.
