With less then 100 more to reach 260, and he had signed a new 4 years with Arsenal. That will be less then 25 per season... according to last 3 seasons statistics, he scored more then 25 per season.

So I reckon he can break Shearer's record.

Fantastic achievement by probably the best English born striker,
Alan Shearer,it would be great for the Fantastic Frenchman to go down in EPL history like he has done at Arsenal already but it will be difficult. He has to keep up his record of averaging thirty goals a season for the next three seasons to do it, I am sure all true soccer fans wish him well.

No.
Even Shearer didn't hit 20 league goals a season in his last few years. Henry will find it difficult to do as well, considering his age and fitness level by then. Going by that, he won't hit the 100 even by the end of his contract.

It's Thierry Henry, of course he can!! No doubt about it! That's what he does, socre goals after goals after goals. I think he's the best striker in the world right after Ronaldo. He can definatly beat Shearer's record EASY!!

he already has nearly 240 club goals and 38 international goals. i think he has a good chance in passing shearer. he's an excellent player, and he's got quite a few years left on him, so i have no doubt that he'll pass it or be really darn close to.
