Complement = angles add to 90 degrees
Supplement = angles add to 180 degrees

First problem:

90-x = 24+2x
90-24 = 3x

3x = 66
x = 22

Complement = (90 -22) = 68 degrees

Second Problem:
(180-x)/2 + (90-x) = 120

90- x/2 + 90 - x = 120

180 -3/2x = 120

3/2x = 60

x = 40 degrees

Complement = 90 - 40 = 50 degrees

Good luck.

the starting equation for 1 is (x)+(2x+24)=90
not sure about 2 sorry :(
and the starting equations should be easy to solve, so unless you have a brain tumor... YOU'RE BLONDE
