not enough info is given. sure he could be 1189 ft above sea level but the lake could be 1179 ft above sealevel or maybe the lake is 50 ft above sealevel or maybe the lake is below sea level. no answer can be found

assuming the lake was at sea level the answer is easy, but not knowing what level the lake was at compared to sea level, you have no idea how far he fell.......and was Darren a family member, is that why you ask in the section?

if he fell into the water he would be going in to the negative #'s so you would add 1189+12=1201ft. i think i am not sure i am in the 6th grade
