I had this Bose Wave system for 5 years now and it started doing wierd stuff. First off sometimes the right speaker plays, sometimes it doesn't, whn I knowck on the box, it starts working...

But also...The sound is really corrupted now....there's some noice and most of the noice is really high pitched sound...

WHAT HAPPENED? HOW DO I FIX IT???

it could be that the wiring inside i a bit corroded or you just blew the speaker out, in which case you might wanna buy a new set. next time, say, you volume goes up to 10, don't full blast it, you want it loud take it to a 9. sometimes frequencies get so high that it can rip the material on the speakers, therefore giving you a bug in the system noice.

you eitherhave a broken land or solder connection, or the preamp chip cracked.
does it work cold and then quits when it warms up or does
it not work cold and then works hot?
