the Bolivium are a more aggessive kind of ram... I just bought a blue ram yesterday out of a tank containing several Boliviums, and the shop-owner said that he lost most of the shipment because the Boliviums killed the others.

On the other hand, everything I've read about all the varities of rams suggests they don't care about other kinds of fish, and that they only pick on each other.

I got a Bolivian Ram to go in my more agressive tank and he was a wuss. I moved him to my community tank and he did well. Just remember that each fish has their own personality. You can try one and see how he does.

Rams are generally more gentle, but they can be aggressive when they're breeding, protecting their territory. Just make sure he has a little cave or plants to stake his claim on.
