I would let the students dance with anyone they want to, I mean if anyone is gay, they why should they feel as if they're sick, etc, espeially at school where everyone is supposed to be equal; all races, both sexes, and all sexualities. If anyone tries to forbid it, that will only make people accuse the school of not being fair to it's students, it could also be seen as a hate movement, or a policy inciting hatred. Being gay myself, when I was at school, I wish teachers had allowed same sexes to dance, i felt cheated and disrespected; a straigh A student who hadn't had a a detention ever... why would you punish people in similar situations?

I think all should be encouraged to get out on the dance floor and dance with all their friends and have a good time, simple as that. If they choose to "pair off" or pay more attention to one person or another, so what.

I think that would depend on if that person was ready to "come out", or not. Just be prepared for a lot of picking and critisim from the close minded people that don't understand. People can be cruel. One day sooner or later you will stand up foe what you belive in despite what others may think. Life is short...be happy!

no one should be "encouraging" anything. If the boys want to dance with eachother, let em dance with each other... if they feel that they need to conceal a sexual identity , let them... but let people decide for themselves. Even if they are "just" kids... I just don't think it should be a school policy that the boys or the girls are not ALLOWED to dance with someone of the same sex.

I would have no problem, with dancing with a girl. Or kissing a girl in public.
But, there are some people that will try to hurt you.
And
If your school(teachers, etc) are homophobic, they will probably be the same way.
Then again, you should always stand for what you believe in, no matter what.

I wouldn't encourage it but if there's two boys who wanted to dance together at a 7 grade school dance. I wouldn't stop them.

Go to the dance dressed as a girl with a wig and tell none who you are this way u can dance with all the boys. I wear get a training bra panties and some nice girls slacks.

Do your parents know that you are into boys to dance with they can be a great help with this.

Have fun!

I think they should be encouraged to dance with other boys. Other boys that feel the same way they do. If there isn't another boy that is gay then they should be encouraged to dance with who they feel comfortable dancing with.

All I have to say is let people dance with who they want to dance with (or even love/have a crush on)!

Hmmm. it's fine, I wouldn't stop them, (that's cause I'm cool like that!), but others would. The comments would too harsh! Encouraged? - if they want too. For girls it is harder to tell, I mean I'm a girl and we dance as friends. (slow&fast) For now, lie... but later, maybe ? highschool they could - it's more... accepted.
