i personnaly think that point should be awarded for consistancy, not wins.a driver may have 5 wins and still miss the chase.that just tells me he had more finishes of 25th or worse during the season.why should he get more points for that win and not for being consistant?

Personally, I don't like the " race for the chase" points system. I liked the old points system where everybody raced as hard as they can, all the way to the last race of the season, to secure a good, money-making position and good sponsorship. Now, the guys that are not in the chase, race to conservative, or salivate at the chance to take out a rival that is in the chase.

I don't think they should give more points for wins. It's consistency that matters. Even if a driver doesn't win any races, they definitely deserve to be in the chase if they have frequent top 10 finishes.

They should give more points for a win. It breeds much better racing because they drivers will push themsleves and their cars harder to ensure they win races. All consistency means is that the driver babied their car enough to not crash and not break down to last until the end of a race. With more points for the winner the battles will be fought harder on track and we will see much more action on track.

I think a driver should get more points for winning a race. Why not? If they win, they should win more points. Makes sense to me.

I'd like to see points for poles and a small increase for winning, But NOT 25 pts.
