As much as I like Willie Nelson, I disagree with the idea that stars should be 'above the law'. You're a US Citizen, you're subject to the same responsibilites as the rest of us, and one of those is following the law (or at least, not getting caught breaking it). If the President was caught smoking dope as he sold it to a couple 12 year olds in a Washington back alley, I'd like to see him incarcerated the same way I would be purely out of principle. So Willie will have to pay his dues to society, and then continue being an awesome old guy and try to keep it further private next time.

WIllie should get amnesty from all drug related charges for the rest of his life. Maybe it's just the administration, Carter didn't seem to mind him smokin weed atop the WHite House.

i think that they should give him as harsh a punishment as they would give some joe blow they found on the street. Just because he is famous, he shouldn't get any special treatment. Law sees no color, race, or fame, at least it shouldn't

Well they can't because it is the law...however, he didn't do anything wrong as far as I am concerned.. they ought to legalized the stuff and they won't because everyone can grow their own and the govt can't tax you on it that way.

He's too old for this nonsense. They should leave him alone, let him smoke his weed in peace and sing patriotic songs badly.
