Some people let there emotions take over their senses and act foolishly when certain questions are asked no matter how sincere the question.

Questions about racism, sexism, feminism, etc.

People say it's good to ask questions, but some people ridicule you for asking depending on how deep the question is. Why can't people be mature, logical, and answer with clear coherant minds instead of bashing you with rude remarks just for asking real, non-discriminative questions?

Wouldn't everyone learn more if people were more calm, clear headed, and logical in discussions?

Yes! Absolutely! Ridicule and nastiness seems to be the norm on this site. One is extremely lucky if he or she gets a straight, thoughtful and helpful answer. Perhaps the answerers themselves are afraid of ridicule if they give a straight and honest answer. Or they are so wrapped up in themselves, that they try to be outstandingly funny. The sad truth is, they only show what type of people they are. I'll let you in on a little secret: There is another site where people ask questions and get good, intelligent answers. This may disqualify me, but I understand your frustration, so let me recommend another one that may be more to your liking. See the website below:
