GARLIC is good for itchy skin from ANY cause or to fight infections in cuts or other broken skin from anything like paper cuts to dog bites, early cold or flu symptoms or other internal bacterial or viral infections (add to tomato sauce), to reduce high blood pressure or to offset circulatory problems, and to combat fungal disorders like toenail fungus. It's also useful in eliminating intestinal parasites as part of a detox regimen. It also grows almost by itself, outdoors or in, and will wake up a limp salad with maxo nutrition (vitamins & minerals) just by cutting a stalk and dicing.

I have three. Is that ok?

Boiled ginger (gingerroot is best but the powdered stuff works, too) will give your voice back for awhile when you've lost it.

Onion is the best natural decongestant. Slice one and keep a few slices on a plate nearby. Breathe deep. It stinks (and so will you) but it works. Replace them with fresh ones when they no longer smell so bad. (You can always take a nice hot bath or shower.) This works well for folks who can't take commercial decongestant for whatever reason -- including tiny newborn babies who somehow get congested and can't nurse.

A bar of soap under the bottom sheet will help relax muscles as you sleep. This got rid of my neck-muscle tension headaches. Put the soap nearest the muscles that need help -- for leg cramps, put it at the foot of the bed; for neck tension, put it near where your pillow goes.

Peppermint essential oil applied topically. Great for muscle soreness, heartburn, indigestion, diarrhea, gas, hiccups, allergies, and a quick pick-me-up.

Cure for the hiccups....Okay, this sounds really funny and you'll look ridiculous, but I'm telling you it works..

Hold your breath, at the same time, with both hands, close your nose with your pinky fingers and put your index fingers in your ears...hold the breath for 10 seconds, swallow the breath (without breathing first), and voila, hiccups are gone!!

Told you you'd look ridiculous, but at least your hiccups are gone!
