Chinese Mandrin is actually the most spoken language in the world, so if youare going to be traveling a lot in the future then i would say chinese

mandarin is the language of the future. best to learn it. spanish is widely spoken in third world countries so who cares.

Spanish if your just thinking in domestic terms, and Mandarin is probably more useful if your thinking in more worldly terms.
