so i have my 8th grade formal in like umm 4 months..im not sure when to get my dress and what kind of dress??? plz. help!!!

For my 8th grade formal, i wore a little black dress, a pink cardigan, and some dressy sandals. These people are your friends, dress how you usually would but a bit neater. I suggest a simple dress (none of that $100 crap from macy's), you're probably only going to wear this dress once or twice so dont spend alot of money on it. If you KNOW that you will wear it again, then feel free to spend more money on it. As for where to get it, just go to a local Marshalls, Ross, Nordstrom Rack and get yourself a nice dress for less than $60.

You should get your dress about 3 months before the formal and get a dress that your school will approve of

My daughter wore a YumYum white speghetti strap midcalf length dress. Not sure YumYum is still available, was made especially for the teen figure.
It had sparkles sewn all over the very full nylon net skirt.
Look to your heart's delight (it's fun), but don't be in too much of
a hurry to buy one, unless you stumble on one that "is to die" for.
Her 8th grade formal was a "dateless" kind, so she didn't have
to worry about a date. That's also a consideration in how soon
you purchase your dress.

8th grade formal is nothing to plan that early for. Maybe a couple of weeks, a month at most!
The dress should oviously be formal, but kind of fun too. Like a strappy dress.
Choose bright colors or blak, or a combo. it looks amazing! :)

awesome! i had my 8th grade formal last year and i also wore a black dress, but down to the floor, w/spagetti straps and v-neck. i got my dress like a week or 2 ahead of the event.

You'll want to get it as soon as you can, and prolly above the knee you dont want to do a full length dress, b/c noone really wears that stuff until junior and senior year.

backless dresses are hot, but less formal, get a slender dress that fits your style, guys love that.

go to gojane.com and go to formal. there dresses are pricey but you can get an idea of what you want. they have some really pretty ones there!
