I'm asking everyone who agrees that this is a horrible casting decision to sign this online petition that would rather see Crispin Glover portray the Joker.

Really, Heath Ledger was only cast to get more teenage girls and hot-for-Heath older women into the theater and probably has NOTHING to do will how well he is suited for the role. Ledger even admitted to hating comic book movies:

"I actually hate comic book movies, like f***ing hate them, they just bore me sh**less and they're just dumb..."

If they do it just to get the teenage girls and the hot for Heath older women, they are sure to disappoint them...The Joker is covered in makeup so his pretty little face will be covered.

I for one don't care who plays Joker, just as long as they do justice to the movie and DON'T screw it up like they did with Batman and Robin.

I don't want anyone to play the Joker in the next Batman movie. The Joker is a warn out villain. Why not introduce some fresh ideas into the films, or at least less known ones?

That was the problem with Superman Returns, which really stunk: they just trotted out Lex Luthor as a villain so the action of the movie was uninteresting (despite a sort of intriguing Son-of-Superman subplot).

Maybe Heath is right, comic book movies inevitably stink because they aren't daring enough.

I have to admit that I was like you when I first heard this. I just didn't see Heath in this role. But I came around. He is a great actor and I will be really interested to see where he takes this role. I can't wait to see it now.

And come on..is the 'get Mr. Brokeback Mountain out of Gotham' comment really necessary? That was a great movie...stop hatin because it was a gay movie.

You make some good points and Crispin Glover is a great actor, but Heath has the Joker's smile to a tee. Crispin would make a good Riddler actually. He's creepy as can be.

I dun really care who gets e Joker role as long as Christian Bale remains as Batman... Batman begins was an awesome potrayal of Bruce Wayne's charater & his alter-ego... Juz dun let e sequel b as trashy as Batman & Robin (rmbr e nipples??)

well, one movies do is put the most unexpected actors to play these amazing characters and it works 86.5% of the time. so give it a chance, if you idolize heath, imagine seeing him as a villain?
