what is the minimum age to move out of your parents house in texas without going through the court system? i have heard it was 17 and 18 and i need to know. I live with my mom who is remarried and would like to move out. also if you do move out before 18 do you have to stay in the state or can you leave the state?

At 18 you can join the military and see the world.

You can leave at 18 without going through the courts, at which time you can go anywhere you wish.

Don't know about Texas - Do you have a means to support yourself. Costs will be Bond, rent, utilities connections and payments & food. Have you checked all these costs out and what you will have left over for everything else.

Yes you can at 18. But it isn't all that you think it will be. My daughter pulled the same stunt and she has been physically abused and is now a meth addict. IT is very heart breaking to me that she did so. She may have been okay now if she had waited.

@ 17 your parents have to consent to you leaving, but when you hit 18 you can do what ever you want. You are then officially an adult

I believe at 18 your free to do pretty much anything but drink.

DUDE AT 18 YOU CAN DO ANYTHING LEGALLY EXCEPT DRINK. IF YOUR THAT DESPERATE TO LEAVE YOUR MOMS HOUSE JOIN THE SERVICE.
