the prefix is "en", meaning between, or within.
the suffix is "ed", infering past tense or that it is an adjective, in this case that the word is an adjective. "twine" is the root.

en- prefix (to make)
twin- root
ed- suffix (past tense or adj.)

prefixes are common things that are at the beginning of a word... like com, con, en etc....

suffixes are the same, but at the end...
