Maintain a healthy diet and exercise at least three times a week. If you have specific problem areas that you want to work on, try focusing mainly on them. Pilates is a good way to to look lean and long. Just don't take it overboard like a lot of girls do and become obsessed. It'll only get worse that way.

Being fashion model slim requires a very unhealthy lifestyle so aim for a swimsuit or fitness model physique instead. It's a few pounds more, but lean and tight with pleasing curves! Men like curves. Even women like curves on other women. Almost no one admires stick thin.
Develop a passion for eating well, eating light (not too much food) AND weight training. Pay for a few sessions with a private trainer or get a good book and do it. Religiously.
Nothing will shape your body and give you the control over that shape more than weight training. It will make you tight and toned. You can only get "big" if you train specifically to do that. No woman can build big muscle by accident. Since you wish to be small, tight and lean, you will train towards that goal.
It's too hard to detail how to do that in this space, that's why an investment towards a trainer or a book and a gym membership is the way to go.

You need to not try to be like someone else, especially like models whose body type are usually inherited and whose eating habits are not usually healthy.
If you exercise at least 3-4 times a week, eat healthy (no fatty foods, veggies, fruits, fish, chicken, no sodas) and drink lots of water, your body should respond in a positive way. Take into consideration your body type. Are you large boned or small boned? Do you have a lot of muscle or are you on the flabby side? What do your parents look like, some, but not all of our body type is inherited.
Be happy with you, be yourself. If you are true to you, you will be happy.

I've tried many, many different things. The best way to be healthy and have lean muscle is to eat healthy and tone your muscles with cardio and some weight lifting. Sorry, there's no easy way to do it.

cut down what you eat and work out more than you used to, there's no real easy way to do it, just when your out eating or hanging out with friends remember that even though you just eat a couple of your friends fries, or a tiny bite of birthday cake that snacking throughout the day adds up and it also makes you more hungry the rest of the day

I hear models eat cotton balls soaked in orange juice. The best part of that is that you dont have to buy toilet paper either!
