Hi, I am a 34 year old male, and I weigh 160 pounds. When I was 27 I weighed only 105 pounds, so I did manage to put on 55 pounds in 7 years, and I have also been as high as 170 pounds, but it wasn't easy to put the weight on. I first tried a quick method of gaining weight. I consumed a lot of calories in a 3 month period and put on 30 pounds, but my back was hurting cause all I put on was fat. I guess all I can say is eat more calories. 3000 a day if you can. You will put on fat, but if you exercise and do free weights, you should be able to keep your body nice and toned. When you have put on enough weight, drop the calories down and set up a cardio routine that will shed the fat, but hopefully turn it into muscle so you won't lose to much weight.

Stop Obsessing!! There will come a day when you ask yourself "how do i get rid of this gut"? You are an endomorph, which means you are thin by nature and there is nothing you can do to gain fat. On the other hand if you want to add weight try working out. The muscles will fill out your clothes in a much better way than body fat.

whoa..ur weight is 135 pounds at the age of 17?
much better than me. when i was at ur age, i my weight is 120pounds only.i eat alot but still cannot gain weight. from what i know ,u must have a high metabolism rate that caused ur food are digested faster that the normal person.now im 19 y/o and weighed 130 pounds. i exercised everyday and my muscles weight increased. now, i has a very nice fit body and i can still maintain my stamina + speed. dont worry bout ur weight. u maybe "built" not for strenght but for speed.have a nice day..

You have a high metabolism; try heavy weight gainer. You can get it at GNC stores, but I recommend going through nutrition express- they are better on the budget! Good luck! Also, try weight training 3 time a week with heavy weight, light reps, and skip the cardio session!

i'm the same way, i'm 21 5'7" and 125 pounds, all muscle, 3% body fat, but i eat like a cow. high metabolism runs in my family on my fathers side. u may want to just ask if high metabolism runs in your family. chances are it does. but fear not, when the 30s come around your metabolism will start to slow down and u will gain weight.

welcome to life as a hard gainer. eat 3000+ calories per day (over as many meals as u can, ie 6 throughout the day), never skip breakfast or go to sleep on an empty gut. and lift heavy weights, dont skip legs! legs are key to size/releasing testosterone. try doing :
monday:squats/dead lifts. tuesday chest/upper back
wednesday off. thurs shoulders. fri arms. sat/sun off
