You add a positive 7 to both sides. so the negitive 7 and the positive 7 cancel out. Then the - 26 because a - 19 since 7= - 26= 19. and then d is alone so d = -19.

Since you're trying to find 'd' you need to get it alone on one side of the equal sign. Add seven to both sides and you will get -26 + 7 = d. Add -26 to 7 and you will get -19 and so -19=d.
