Tell him to join the boy scouts or volunteer to help somebody less fortunate than himself, because if he has computer games, video games, go-carts, four-wheelers and dirt bikes and he's still board, he needs to start working his brain as well has h is body.

He needs jobs around the house to justify his existence. There is more to life than playing computer games and video games. he should go out and rake up the leaves, cut the grass, sweep off the steps, wash the car, walk the dog. He need to learn responsiblity and everything he does now id just fun and games, which is a very bad habit to get into.

A lot of kids are bored nowadays, because of video games and computers.
What happened to using your imagination, reading, playing a sport, playing real games, going to a show, watching discovery or learning programs.
His parents should just take all his toys away and make him start from scratch. Make him use his brain.

Also my suggestions are
1_Introduce him to thinking about occupations. Let him see what he would be qualified for at the present time, if he for some reason had to start working to survive. Ask if he would like to do that for the rest of his life, and if not, encourage him to start thinking about it. Remind him that according to state law, a person is considered an adult at 18; and is he qualified to maintain the lifestyle he has now-and if not what kind of job would he like to work toward while he has the time to work toward a goal
2_encourage him to think about God/religion (guess both of these depend on how well you know his parents; this is what I see as the ideal for a 12 yr old with these interests)
3_encourage some group activity where he can experience more social interaction since these sound like possibly solitary activities; I wish I had been encouraged to start earlier with thinking about social life

Tell him to get a friggin' job. If he has to wake up at the crack of dawn to deliver newspapers then boredom will begin to seem fun.

Has he tried sports? Or acting? These activities would increase his social circle and help him to focus, while also providing him with an outlet.
