The scaryest movie I ever seen is "The Blair Witch Project". That's so scarry that you can't beleive. Second scaryest is "The Grudge". Don't watch these two alone. And my third is "Excorsism of Emily Rose". This one was scary while I was watching, but it was even scaryest after, when I was all alone and thinking about the movie.
And, btw, "Hills have eyes" is not scary, it's just grose. There is a big difference between scary and disgusting. I liked "Saw" and "Saw 2", but these are not scary movies. They are good thrillers with original idea, so I can forgive them beeing grose. In these movies a lot of blood and other unplesent things that you can see actualy have a purpose, and that makes these movies good, much better then the ones who just have blood and screams without any idea or point. That's why I hated "Hills have eyes" and haven't watched "Chain saw masacre" - don't like to get grosed for no purpose or reason.

I hope this can help you. Also, you can go to movies.yahoo.com and under the section "Top rated" select "Suspense/Horror" category. Here you can find top rated movies by audience. This can help.

Brainscan, it's about a guy who plays a video game that lets him view a murder through the eyes of a killer and he gets to affect their actions. The next day he watches the news and finds out that he really killed someone.
